General Kenya Drone Laws
Drone use is allowed in Kenya, but there are several Kenya drone laws that need to be followed when flying in the country.
You must first receive approval to operate your drone from the ministry of defence. Contact information for the ministry of defence is listed at the bottom of this page.
Once you have received approval from the ministry of defence you must apply to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and receive approval to fly your drone. Contact information for the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority is listed at the bottom of this page.
Once you have recieved approval from both parties to operate your drone in Kenya, please adhere to the following Kenya Drone Laws,
Do not fly your drone over people or crowds of people
Respect other peoples privacy when flying your drone
Do not fly your drone near military installations, power plants, or any other area that could cause concern among local authorities
Do not fly your drone near airports or in areas were aircraft are operating
You must fly during daylight hours and only fly in good weather conditions
