Reports in London indicate that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has already signed a new two year contract extension. This comes after increased pressure on his future after last weekend’s 3-1 defeat by West Bromwich Albion. That was Arsenal’s fourth defeat in the last five premier league games.

Arsenal is set to make a major squad overhaul by the sell of stars Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in a move that will anger fans. Other players set to leave include David Ospina, Nacho Monreal, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.

Fans chanted anti-wenger slogans and raised ‘Enough is Enough’ banners after Saturday’s defeat feel betrayed by the club for offering Wenger, who was out of contract end of the season, a new two year deal.

Arsenal dropped to sixth place below Man Utd and level in point with Everton. New signings expected in the summer include Alexandre Lacazette, Moussa Dembele, Kylian Mbappe, Marco Reus and Joe Hart. It will be an uphill task for Arsenal to finish fourth, and if they fail this will be their worst season in twenty years.
