President John Pombe Magufuli arrived in Kenya on Monday, October 31, to begin his two day official visit.

The no nonsense president arrived at JKIA at mid morning and was welcomed by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed.

The Tanzanian leader who is visiting Kenya for the first since being elected president later went to Parliament buildings to lay a wreath at the mausoleum of Kenya’s founding president Jomo Kenyatta.

Magufuli was received at the parliament grounds by several members of parliament led by Speaker Justin Muturi.

Later Magufuli arrived at State House Nairobi where he was given a heroic gun salute by the Kenya Navy.

Magufuli was also honoured by a special military parade by the Kenya Defence Force (KDF).
Among the agenda for the meeting will be key bilateral talks and the candidature of Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed for the position of African Union Commission Chairperson.
