Kenya Airways to lay off 600 workers in May

KQ has reported that it plans to retrench 600 workers by May in a view of re-structuring and reducing operational costs. This comes after four years when 400 workers were fired in similar fashion.

Kenya Airways has been on a loss making spree recording a historic loss of 25.7 billion for the year ending March 31, 2015. The airline maintained that his is part of Operation Pride which seeks to restore KQ to its former glory. Some Boeing 777 have been sol;d as part of the plan.
