Pope Francis will be coming to Kenya for a three day visit from 25 th to 27 th November. The “Stand firm and be strong ” themed tour is part of his pilgrimage African tour where he will also visit Uganda and the Central African Republic between 27 th and 30th.
With an estimated 14 million Catholics in Kenya approximately 1.5 million will attend the Nairobi Mass on 26th.
However the Pope expressed concerns on cancelling his C.A.R tour on Sunday in St. Peter’s Square. He said that if insecurity will not be tackled he may have to skip the visit.
Many Catholic Bishops want the Pope to tackle Celibacy issues as some have fled to other denominations because they feel they have the right to marry. Climate change is another important topic the Pope will address.
Final preparations are underway as security is beefed up in Nairobi and its environs. The Papal mobile was spotted in the country earlier in the week and as we can say – KENYA IS READY FOR THE POPE!
