Top premier league clubs have been on a spending spree since the transfer window opened this summer. Manchester United has dug deep by signing veteran German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich. Other signings include Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton, Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven and Matteo Darmian from Torino. United had to sell both Luis Nani and Robin Van Persie to Fenerbahce and Luis Van Gaal is believed to be in search of a top striker. Futures for David de Gea and Angel di Maria are still uncertain as they have been linked with a move to Real Madrid and PSG respectively.

Liverpool was not left far behind as it brought in Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton, James Milner from Manchester City and Christian Benteke from Aston Villa. Liverpool had to sell Steven Gerrard to LA Galaxy, Glen Johnson to Stoke City and Raheem Sterling to Manchester City.

On the other hand, defending champions, Chelsea took Radamel Falcao on a season long loan from Monaco and bought Asmir Begovic from Stoke.

In conclusion, every premier league team has been busy reinforcing while Arsene Wenger has only bought Petr Cech from Chelsea . Arsenal needs quality signings considering Carl Jenkinson went to West Ham for a second loan season while Lucas Podolski was sold to Galatasaray. Abou Diaby was also among five players released by the Club. Let’s wait and see who Wenger will buy next.
