Most of turkey’s territory covers west Asia and the Middle East while a small section lies in southern Europe. The land is home of ancient monuments, beautiful sceneries, magnificent landscapes without forgetting the diverse culture and history.

Attractions in Turkey are located specifically in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Kusadasi, Bodrum City, Marmaris, Goreme, Bursa, Selcuk, Fethiye, Kas, Mugla, Alanya, Urgup, Nevsehir, Eskisehir, Adana, Kalkan and Konya provinces ; with each place having numerous tourism attractions. Many tourists travel a thousand miles to witness the bizarre and wonderful attractions in turkey.

Aya Sofya or Hagia Sofia is the most famous attraction in turkey. It is a former Greek Orthodox patriarchal basilica church but presently it acts as museum located in Istanbul. Cappadocia is a historical site located in central Anatolia, Nevsehir, Kayseri, Aksaray and Nigde provinces in turkey. This region has rocky valleys, cliff ridges and hill crests. It was an early Christian site which was formed by Millennia of wind and water action. It is good for hot air ballooning. Topkapi palace was the primary residence of the Ottoman sultans in the mid-15th century. Anciently was also used as a stage for state events and ceremonies. It is now a museum and a major tourist attraction in Istanbul.

Pamukkale is an attraction site in the Turkish Denizli province. Nicknamed cotton castle, the region has hot springs and travertine. It also has terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. The Sumela monastery is a Greek Orthodox monastery which was considered holy by the Greeks. It is located in a cliff and considered a star attraction to tourists. Mount Nemrut is a high mountain and an attraction site in Turkey. It was assumed to be a royal tomb. Other famous attractions in Turkey include Ani, Aspendos, Yacht cruising on the Mediterranean, Pergamum and the Oludeniz.
